| The Association of South Slavic Peoples in Dayton, Ohio. Preserving the folk culture of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Also known as the South Slavic Club, we are primarily a social organization with members of many nationalities who share an interest in the cultures of South Slavic Peoples. Both the Association and Zivio are non-political and non-profit. We welcome anyone with Bulgarian ancestry or an in interest in Bulgaria to join us at our meetings or participate in our activities. We will be including Bulgaria in our cultural display at the World A'Fair, and, in 2008, be adding a Bulgarian suite to our repetoire of dances. The Duquesne University Tamburitzans is a unique ensemble of talented young folk artists dedicated to the performance and preservation of the music, songs, and dances of Eastern Europe and neighboring folk cultures. The South Slavic Club will bring the Tamburitzans to perform in Dayton on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Centerville High School auditorium. Christmas Party December 6, 2008 For more information contact John Pappas, |
