The Slavic peoples have a rich heritage of folk costumes. So it is always hard to decide what to make.  When a new set of costumes are made much research goes into deciding what region to use, what materials are needed, and how much  they will cost.  It can be difficult to find the appropriate fabrics and accessories in the USA so substitutions must be made but not without a lot of thought to what that will do to the finished costume.

Zivio owns the following sets of costumes that were made for the group:
Croatia - Slovenski Brod
Serbia - Nis
Serbia - Sumadija
Slovenia - Gorensko
Macedonia

Additional costumes owned by Zivio:
Croatia - Baranja
Serbia - Sumadija

These are photos from a recent "sweatshop" where we put together aprons for the women's Bulgarian costumes.----These are paired with photos of some of the same people at a 1998 sewing party.
