| a dance educator and ethnologist, has been studying, teaching and performing international folk dance since college days at UCLA, where she earned a master’s degree in ethnic dance. She studied Basque dance for three months in the Basque Provinces. Roo teaches throughout the United States and in Europe, specializing in turning dances of Norway and Sweden. Roo’s professional credits include stints as a dancer and choreographer for the Aman Folk Ensemble, plus teaching engagements at major dance camps such as Stockton. For this workshop she will be a teaching a variety of international folk dance with an emphasis on the Basque region. | ||
